                 Distribution Lineman

                 Grade 16-Salary Range $17.11to$21.83/Hour

                 Salary Commensurate with Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS-Sufficient education or vocational training plus minimum 4 years of progressively responsible experience in distribution power line work.  Must possess or acquire tools of good to superior quality required for this job.  The tools required are found on the basic tool list supplied to this employee upon employment or transfer to this job.  Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.  Possess valid Texas Commercial Driver's License and have a good driving record.  Must be physically and mentally able to perform the essential functions of the job described with or without reasonable accommodation, including being able to lift up to 100 pounds of materials.  Bondable.

TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:  Perform skilled work in the construction, maintenance and repair of distribution lines.  Set poles and downguys.  Frame poles.  Install transformers, regulators and capacitors.  Install any designated line equipment, e.g. air switches, circuit breakers, capacitors.  Phase circuits together.  Install and maintain URD circuits and transformers.  Install residential and commercial services.  Install and remove meters.  Train apprentices and helpers.  Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicle.  Perform any other related duties.  Be familiar with safety regulations.  Pull in conductors for distribution circuits.  Skillful in climbing poles and working from bucket trucks.  Perform strenuous work under emergency conditions and in all weather conditions.  All other assignments as directed by supervisor or President/CEO
